EALING Broadway Shopping Centre is next on the list for redevelopment, with plans being unveiled on Saturday, November 29.

Work is expected to cost £35-40m and will coincide with next year’s 30th anniversary of the centre.

Plans can be seen between 11am and 3pm in a vacant shop at the High Street entrance to the centre.

Andrew Rollings, centre director, said: “We’re really excited about these proposals to make it an even better place to shop and would like to hear what people think.

“Modernising the town square will allow us to play a bigger role in the community, and the transformation of the centre that we are proposing will improve the experience for everyone.”

Plans include the creation of a public plaza in the town square, the creation of homes above the shops at 54 Broadway and upgrading of the car park.

Money for the development will be provided by British Land, owners of the shopping centre.

British Land aims to submit a planning application to Ealing Council in the new year and hopes to begin work in the summer.

More information and a chance to provide feedback will be available at www.ealingbroadwayshopping.co.uk/plans from Monday, December 1.
