AN assault on two men in Greenford is believed to have happened because they are Polish.

Police were called to Jeymer Drive at around 12.40am on Sunday, February 15, and found the men, aged 33 and 38, suffering facial injuries.

It is understood they were assaulted by two groups, consisting in total of around eight men and four women, because of their nationality from comments that were made.

It is being treated as a hate crime.

The suspects are described as white, aged around 18-19, all in dark clothing or tracksuits. The first group was made up of two men and two women, the second of six men and two women.
