DETECTIVES from Ealing are appealing for witnesses to a robbery in which a white Volkswagen Transporter van was stolen.
On Wednesday, May 6, at around 2.20pm, a 57-year-old delivery driver was delivering a parcel to an address in Carlisle Avenue, Acton.
As he was standing at the rear of the van, he was approached from behind and hit with an unknown object on his arm, causing him to drop the van keys on the floor. He was then punched in the back and fell to the floor.
The keys were picked up by the suspect who drove off in the van. A second suspect jumped in the passenger seat and they drove off along Carlisle Avenue, turning left on to The Fairway.
The first suspect is described as a black man, around 20-25, 6ft tall and wearing a blue jacket. The second man was also black.
The van is a white Volkswagen Transporter van, registration DG63VTY.
