MORE than 30 organisations are supporting Ealing’s biggest ever mental health fair next Wednesday.

The Ealing Council and Ealing Clinical Commissioning Group fair is for anyone with concerns about their own or a loved one's mental health and will have representatives from Healthwatch Ealing, Mind, The Samaritans and West London Mental Health Trust.

There will be interactive sessions on mindfulness coaching and other stress-busting techniques.

Councillor Hitesh Tailor, cabinet member for health and adults’ services said: “One in four of us will be affected by a mental health illness in any year.

“So this event is a great opportunity to increase awareness of mental health issues, direct people to the wide range of support services available in Ealing and offer advice to those living with mental health issues and their families.”

Carers can find out what support services are available to help them in their role.

Dr Mohini Parmer, chair of Ealing CCG, said: “We are committed to improving the mental health of people living in Ealing.

“Next week’s fair is an excellent opportunity for local residents to come along and find out more about the wide ranging services there are available to them.

“If you are experiencing mental health problems it is important to know that you are not alone and there is plenty of help out there to improve your mental health and wellbeing.”

No appointment is necessary and residents are welcome to drop in to Ealing Town Hall in New Broadway on June 1, 10am-4pm.
