CAPTAIN Tony Craig is pushing for a recall to Brentford’s starting XI for tomorrow’s clash with Leeds United at Griffin Park.

Craig, 29, has not featured for the Bees since his sending off against Birmingham in August, but boss Mark Warburton is considering changes to his side following back-to-back defeats for the first time this season.

Brentford, in 14th place, were thrashed 4-0 at Middlesbrough last weekend and will need to pick themselves up after conceding seven goals and scoring none in their past two games.

However, only title favourites Norwich City have beaten the Bees at home in the league this season, and the newly-promoted side will be looking to make Griffin Park a fortress in their battle to stay up.

Sam Saunders, Nico Yennaris and Tommy Smith are all still sidelined through injury, while Scott Hogan is ruled out until the New Year.

Darko Milanic will take charge of his first game for Leeds, as another new era gets underway at Elland Road.

Leeds, in 12th place, have enjoyed a four-game unbeaten run under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn, and sit just two points outside the play-off places.

Milanic is unlikely to make too many changes to his side, though Gaetano Berardi will be missing after picking up his second red card of the season last weekend, with Sam Byram expected to replace him.

Alan McCormack has signed a new two-year deal, to tie him to Brentford until 2016.

The Irishman has been an ever present since his arrival last summer and has his sights set on coaching or management when he eventually hangs up his boots.

The club have also opened negotiations with experienced midfielder Jonathan Douglas over a new contract.

The 32-year-old has started every Championship game for the Bees this season, but his current deal is due to expire next summer.
