MORE than 400 people of all ages and abilities took part in 2K and 5K running races on Sunday in events organised by Ealing Southall and Middlesex Athletics Club.
Under 15s completed the shorter fun run at Perivale Park athletics track, while the Perivale 5, Ealing’s longest-established annual running event, took place around Perivale Park golf course and sports ground, starting at Stockdove Way and finishing on the athletics track.
The pacers, who accompanied the runners, were dressed as Father Christmas to get everyone in the festive spirit.
“It was a fantastic event with a brilliant turnout,” said Michael Twiggins, general manager of Everyone Active, which runs Perivale Park for the council.
“It was great to see people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds joining in and getting active ahead of the festive season.”
