BRENTFORD welcome fellow Championship side Brighton to Griffin Park tomorrow (Saturday) as their attention turns from the play-offs to FA Cup third round.

Boss Mark Warburton is poised to make one or two changes, which could mean a first start of the season for winger Sam Saunders, who has made three substitute appearances, scoring twice, since returning from a long-term knee injury.

New signing Lewis Macleod, 20, who joined Brentford for a reported £1m fee from Rangers this week, will have to watch from the sidelines as he is not yet eligible to play.

Right-back Alan McCormack (ankle) and striker Scott Hogan (knee) remain in the treatment room.

New Brighton manager Chris Hughton has a much-changed squad for his first game in charge. The Seagulls have lost Darren Bent, Greg Halford, Gary Gardner and Elliott Bennett, following the end of their loan spells.

Brentford and Brighton have met three times before in the FA Cup, with the Bees winning in 1928-29 and Brighton coming out on top in 1974-75 and 1987-88.

Crowd favourite Richard Lee will retire at the end of the season.

The 32-year-old goalkeeper, who joined from Watford four years ago, has made 75 appearances but has fallen behind first Simon Moore and then David Button.

Another Brentford keeper, Jack Bonham, has agreed a new long-term contract with the club.

The 21-year-old moved to Griffin Park in the summer of 2013 after being released by Watford and his new deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.

The Bees have agreed an undisclosed fee with Gillingham for the transfer of Luke Norris to the Kent club.

The 21-year-old actually joined the Gills on a two-year deal last summer, having turned down a new deal at Griffin Park.

However, Brentford were entitled to compensation for Norris, who has scored four goals in 23 appearances for his new club.
