JAKE BIDWELL is back from suspension as Brentford travel to Birmingham City on Saturday in another pivotal clash in the Championship play-off race.

The Bees are just one point off the pace and could move as high as third if results fall kindly for them this weekend.

Brentford comfortably beat bottom side Blackpool 4-0 on Tuesday and will be boosted by the return of Bidwell, who has missed the last three games through suspension following his red card against Watford.

Andre Gray and Jonathan Douglas were taken off in midweek, but both should be fit.

Alan Judge is a doubt, though, with a knock picked up in the win over Bournemouth last weekend.

Jon Toral's hat-trick against Blackpool should be enough for him to retain his spot in the first XI.

Birmingham, in 17th place, slumped to a 4-2 defeat against Ipswich on Tuesday – the first time they’ve lost back-to-back games under Gary Rowett – though they are still just eight points off the top three.

Brentford and Birmingham shared a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at Griffin Park in August, while the Bees haven’t won at St Andrews since the 1992/93 season.

Bees have signed Leicester City centre-back Liam Moore on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has made 14 appearances for the Foxes this season and played the full 90 minutes in their 5-3 win over Manchester United.

The England Under-21 international had a loan spell with the Bees in 2013, playing seven times.

Bees striker Nick Proschwitz is going on loan to Coventry City after losing his place in the first team.

He has featured 20 times for the Bees this season, scoring twice, but his last appearance came in the Boxing Day defeat against Ipswich.

Brentford manager Mark Warburton and on-loan midfield player Alex Pritchard have been nominated for prizes in the upcoming London Football Awards.

Warburton is nominated for the London Manager of the Year award, while Pritchard is up for Young Player of the Year.
